I am a licensed psychologist in Connecticut and New York and was previously in private practice in Brooklyn, NY before relocating with my family to Connecticut. I received a Doctorate of Psychology in School and Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University. Prior to my doctoral training, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Honors from the University of Vermont.
My clinical experiences have included psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological assessments with children from birth through adolescence, as well as adults and families in a variety of settings including private practice, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics as well as public, private, and specialized school-based settings. My school-based experience further included staff and parent consultation, groups for children whose families have experienced parental separation or divorce, and parent workshops. I also provided supervision and training for clinical staff, including interns, externs, post-doctoral fellows, social workers and counselors while I was the Program Administrator at YCS’s Dr. Helen May Strauss Clinic in NJ.
I am experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of social, emotional and behavioral needs including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders/difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant/conduct disorders, parent/child relational issues, ADHD, attachment disorders, selective mutism, sensory processing differences, autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
